Wade Works Creative, a Real Estate + Design firm headed by TV Host/Designer, Chip Wade, has an immediate opening for a full-time CAD Operator. Wade Works is seeking an energetic professional to provide construction drawings for interior and exterior residential renovations that can work under our Architectural stamp.  Working knowledge of local codes and permitting requirements needed.  Average project turnaround is less than 8 weeks.  If you are a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, then this is your opportunity for a rewarding career with excellent income and growth potential!

CAD Operator Responsibilities:

Understands the equations, calculations and written instructions from designers and engineers; Provide guidelines and technical details for the renovations outlined in SketchUp model; Work with Management Team and Designers to complete designs; Draw plans for structural foundations, other construction projects as well as room layout and building interiors; Revise drawings based on instructions from engineers, designers or architects; Study building codes, site requirements, and other documentation to determine any impact on building plans; Site visits to collect data for design requirements may be necessary on occasion; May be called upon to consult with client to understand their instructions and to answer questions; Stores drawings electronically for later use; Meet all deadlines.

CAD Operator Requirements:

Detail oriented; Possess a talent for drawing; Excellent communication skills; Superior computer skills; Knowledge of building codes; Knowledge of architectural terminology; Ability to envision finished product; Knowledge of drafting software for creating 2D and 3D computer drawings in AutoCAD; Must be able to work with little supervision; Working knowledge of SketchUp would be ideal.

Compensation:  This is an hourly position.  Compensation will be commensurate with experience.  Benefits will be available after the initial 90 day probationary period.
